Researchers Dr Leonardo Mataruna, Dr Ian Brittain and Andressa Guimarães are developing in Rio de Janeiro a series of interviews on 2016 Paralympic Games, which will be held in the city. This week they meet the president of the Brazilian Paralympic Committee, Dr Andrew Parsons, who sought information and data on the construction of the legacies of the Games.
The study is investigating the impacts of Paralympic sports, as well as the changes that will be promoted in the city for the needs of the mega event. This research is part of CARNIVAL project, developed at Coventry University, in partnership with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
