Professor Dr Leonardo Mataruna gave on Wednesday February 25th a class on Sport and Peace and Sport for Development for MSc students of Center of Trust Peace, and Social Relations (CTPSR) at the Coventry University , UK.
Students of different nationalities heard about sport and its concepts, and how they are related to peace and both social and human development.
During the class, professor Leonardo presented cases studies that happened in Brazil. The use of sport in the pacification of Rio’s slums was one of the examples.
