Dr Leonardo Mataruna supports the Physical Education Day in Brazil (September 1st), which will be celebrated by the Regional Council of Physical Education in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Espirito Santo. During the days August 17th and September 21st, several activities will be held to draw attention of society to the importance of the work of this professional who takes care and provides better quality of life to thousands of people.

The campaign will also be developed in the council’s social media in order to broaden the discussion about the profession. Professor Leonardo follow the council’s activities since a long time. In a recent meeting in March this year, Mataruna presented to council members the research that develops at Coventry University and how the Olympic legacy can benefit professionals of Physical Education in Brazil.
